This is where I will provide the STEP by STEP information on what I consider the basics to market online.
First, I begin with being able to communicate with me. Then I will move to the basics of buying a DOMAIN NAME and how to REDIRECT it with the idea of getting you started on BRANDING YOU!
[Note: If you already know how to do these two (2) Steps then jump ahead. I don't want to assume anything. So read through each Step and determine what you already know and where you will begin to pick up some golden nuggets of information and ideas you may not have considered before.]
If you work for a company or small business what you have to understand is YOU are THE PRODUCT. Not the corporation, company or small business you work for! This is ALL ABOUT YOU – NOT YOUR COMPANY!
Through my education modeling after the top internet marketers learning how to market online, it seems everyone likes to talk about the “secrets”. As far as I am concerned there aren’t any secrets – just information we may not have been privy to before, have uncovered or have come across.
Most people in business know the primary secret to doing business. It’s all based on their R-E-L-A-T-I-O-N-S-H-I-P-S with others. People are buying you! You are selling yourself before anyone buys a product or service from you!
Whether you already have a website or do not have one yet has nothing to do with what I am sharing with you here. You can have the greatest, most advanced website the world has ever seen but if the world doesn’t have the opportunity to get to know YOU then I believe you are missing out on the single most important ingredient in marketing.
I begin with what I KNOW are the BASICS of BASICS with the idea you can get up and running fast and begin to generate new prospects (ie leads) for your business by telling your story. My original internet marketing mentor coined this type of marketing “My Story Marketing”.
[Note: Some of the messages I send you may refer to the MLM / Home Based Business market. If you are not interested in that industry just ignore the reference to it and apply what I am sharing to your business or job.]
I will show you how you can market what ever it is you are currently “SELLING” (or representing) and turn that paradigm around to where people are ATTRACTED TO YOU and automatically referring you & your business to others in their “CIRCLE OF INFLUENCE”. The goal is to automate your sales process.
You will begin to experience a whole new way of living your life & promoting/selling your business as your outlook and perspective will change from “ALL ABOUT YOU & YOUR BUSINESS” >>>>to>>>>> “ALL ABOUT OTHERS” and adding massive value to their lives!
How do we begin achieving this goal? It all starts with being able to build your own proprietary list which will enable you to develop your relationship with those you attract. I find it mind boggling how many people and companies marketing online miss this primary goal in their internet marketing plan.
Often I visit a website and find I have to dig to contact them. Then when I get to their “Contact Page” I rarely find their form is connected to an Auto Responder. (Please don’t get overwhelmed if this vocabulary is confusing . All will be explained as we get more into this idea of building our list and relationships when we share information about Auto Responders in future Steps.)
